Happy new year people - I can’t believe I’ve been writing this blog for so long now. This first post of 2012 will serve as a personal barometer for myself as I actually set some serious resolutions. 2012 is the year to grow up and make serious moves, and for once I actually feel confident about doing it. Ask, believe, receive. And don’t let anyone stop you from getting what you want!
Dot Rotten popped up last year on my radar but I never paid much attention to him. He’s getting much more media time now and is appearing on those inevitable ‘sound of…’ lists for 2012.
This track is lovely - reminds me of the kind of chorus you’d expect from a 2011 Skream track, but I also can’t escape the similarities to Kano in his pomp. There’s a really funny interview on the Guardian of Doc being interviewed by the geekiest journalist - it’s almost as if there was no-one else to do the job.
